Dr. Bhushan Raj Shrestha is one of the founders of Friends of Bird. He is a passionate bird and nature enthusiast dedicated to promoting birdwatching and bird conservation in Nepal’s rich birdlife.

Professionally, Dr. Shrestha holds a PhD in Informatics and has over two decades of experience developing digital and geospatial solutions for sustainable development and evidence-based governance. Dr. Shrestha also serves as an Advisor to Bird Conservation Nepal (BCN) to help BCN in technology and data-driven approaches to support bird conservation initiatives. He is committed to bridging technology, science, and citizen engagement to promote biodiversity conservation and inspire greater appreciation for nature.
