Mr. Deepak Shrestha

Founder of Friends of Bird

Mr. Shrestha is a deep nature lover and one of the founders of Friends of Bird (FoB). He was born in Kathmandu and is a permanent resident of the capital city even now. Born in Kathmandu, a city rich in artistic, cultural, and natural beauty, and experiencing the natural beauty of Kathmandu in his youth, he became a true lover of nature, as well as biodiversity and wildlife.

Being a nature lover, his interest grew up to traveling and exploring new and fascinating places in his free time. During his exploring trips, he met other nature lovers nearly three decades ago. They went birdwatching together many times, became close friends, and founded this FoB forum two decades ago.

Mr. Shrestha is a Life member of Bird Conservation Nepal (BCN). He has contributed many efforts to the FoB from its founding time to growing period. No doubt, he is a true bird lover, birdwatching is his passion but also interested in participating in nature conservation and awareness programmes. He still prefers to go birdwatching.
